RO-NANDTB is the independent national body responsible for the qualification and certification of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) personnel in the Romanian aerospace industry.

Founded in November 2015 under the aegis of OPIAR by five major Romanian aerospace companies – Turbomecanica S.A., IAR S.A., Aerostar S.A., Romaero S.A., and Aeroq-NDT S.R.L. – RO-NANDTB was established to bring uniform and transparent standards to the NDT field.

We are a non-profit association that:

• Authorizes training and examination centres (CIE)
• Develops and updates internal procedures
• Organizes Level 3 examinations
• Oversees the entire qualification and certification process

Since March 2020, RO-NANDTB has been officially recognized by the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (AACR) as the National Aerospace NDT Board. All our activities comply with the international standards EN 4179 and NAS 410.

Since November 2023, RO-NANDTB is NADCAP certified. 

Our goal is straightforward: to ensure that NDT personnel in Romania work to the highest standards of quality and safety, thereby contributing to flight safety and the development of the Romanian aerospace industry.
